Wall Defender
A free browser tower defense game. Build and upgrade towers along your wall, spend the gold each wave drops, and hold the line against enemies that never stop coming.
How the game works
In Wall Defender you protect a single wall against wave after wave of attackers. Every wave you survive pays out gold, and gold is the only thing standing between you and the next wave: you spend it on new towers, on upgrading the towers you already have, and on repairing the wall itself. Spend badly and you will feel it two waves later.
The core tension is placement versus economy. Towers cover a limited area, so a defence that comfortably shreds early waves often leaves a gap that later, faster enemies walk straight through. Buying a second tower gives you coverage; upgrading your first gives you damage. Both choices are correct at different moments, and the game gets its difficulty from making you commit before you know which one this run needed.
Enemies scale steadily. Early waves are slow and can be handled by a single well-placed tower. Later waves mix tougher units with faster ones, and the gold you earn no longer keeps pace with what a full defence would cost, so every run eventually turns into damage control — deciding what to let through and what must not get past.
Alongside the in-run gold there are permanent unlocks bought with BlueCoins, the platform currency. Those carry over between runs, so a session that ends badly still moves you forward. Your best wave is saved to the all-time leaderboard, a weekly ranking resets so newer players can compete for the top three, and beating the all-time record pays a bonus.

Tips and strategy
- Cover the approach, not the wall. Towers that only reach enemies once they are already at the wall get far fewer shots in. Place so that attackers spend as long as possible inside your range.
- Upgrade before you expand. Early on, one strong tower usually out-damages two weak ones — and it costs less gold overall to get there.
- Do not bank gold you will never spend. Gold sitting unused does nothing. If a wave is about to start and you can afford an upgrade, take it.
- Repair early, not at one hit left. Wall damage carries forward. Patching it while it is cheap is almost always better than an emergency repair mid-wave.
- Use permanent unlocks. BlueCoin unlocks stay with you between runs, so they are the most reliable way to push past a wave you keep dying on.
Frequently asked questions
Is Wall Defender free to play?
Yes. It runs directly in your browser with no download, no installation and no payment.
What is the difference between gold and BlueCoins?
Gold is earned and spent inside a single run and resets when the run ends. BlueCoins are the platform currency and buy permanent unlocks that carry over to every future run.
Do I need an account?
Only to save progress. Without signing in you can play freely, but permanent unlocks and leaderboard scores are not stored and you are not eligible for weekly rewards.
Can I play on a phone?
Yes. The game switches to a landscape view on phones so the whole wall stays visible. Rotating your device to landscape gives the most comfortable experience.
