Flash
A free fast-paced reaction game. Targets appear, shrink, and vanish — hit them before they do, chain combos, and keep your hands away from the bombs.
How the game works
Flash is a game about clean, fast decisions. Targets pop into the field, stay visible for a short moment, then start shrinking. Hit one while it is still there and you score; let it shrink away and it counts as a miss. The whole round runs on a timer, so hesitation costs you twice — once in points, once in seconds.
Mixed in with the normal targets are bombs, and they are the reason the game is not just about clicking quickly. Hitting a bomb takes five seconds straight off your clock and wipes your combo, which usually hurts more than the time itself. Because bombs look distinct but appear in the same rhythm as everything else, the game constantly tempts you into a reflex tap you should have held back.
The combo system is what separates a decent score from a good one. Consecutive hits build your multiplier, and every miss or bomb resets it. That means a careful run of clean hits is worth far more than a frantic run with the same number of targets, and it is why the best scores tend to look calm rather than fast.
Rounds are short and restarts are instant, so improvement comes from repetition rather than long sessions. Your best score is saved to the all-time leaderboard, and a weekly ranking resets so newer players always have a realistic shot at the top three.

Tips and strategy
- Protect the combo, not the target. One missed target costs a few points; a broken combo costs the multiplier on everything that follows. When in doubt, take the safe hit.
- Check before you tap. Almost every bomb hit is a reflex, not a mistake in judgement. Training yourself to glance for half a beat is the single biggest score improvement available.
- Work from the oldest target. If several are on screen, the one that appeared first is closest to vanishing. Clearing in that order turns a crowded field into a clean one.
- Keep your cursor central. Parking near the middle of the field shortens the average distance to the next target and removes long, panicked swipes across the screen.
- Short runs, many attempts. Rounds are quick by design. Restarting immediately after a bad start is almost always better than nursing a broken combo to the end.
Frequently asked questions
Is Flash free to play?
Yes. It runs directly in your browser with no download, no installation and no payment.
What happens if I hit a bomb?
You lose five seconds from the round timer and your combo multiplier resets to zero. The round continues, but recovering the lost multiplier takes a clean streak.
How is my score calculated?
Each hit scores points, and your combo multiplier increases those points the longer you go without missing. Consistency is worth more than raw speed.
Do I need an account?
Only to save a score. You can play without signing in, but your result is not stored, it does not appear on the leaderboard, and you are not eligible for weekly rewards.
How do the leaderboard rewards work?
Scores are saved to a permanent all-time leaderboard and to a weekly ranking that resets, so newer players still have a realistic shot at the top three. Beating the all-time world record pays a bonus on top of your normal save.
