Tag Game
A fast free chase game. One player is "it" and hunts, the other runs — swap roles the moment contact is made and try to survive the clock.
How the game works
Tag takes the playground rule and puts it in a small arena. One character is "it" and has to make contact with the other; the moment that happens the roles switch instantly, and the player who was chasing suddenly has to escape. A round runs on a timer, so the goal is to spend as little of it as possible being the one who is hunted.
Because the arena is small, pure speed is not enough. Corners are dangerous, straight lines are predictable, and the player who commits first to a direction usually loses the exchange. Good play looks like feinting: moving as if you will break left so the other player commits, then going the other way.
The role swap is what keeps rounds tense. There is no safe lead, since a single moment of contact flips the situation completely and gives your opponent the same problem you just had. Rounds are short by design and restart immediately.
Two players can share one keyboard, which makes it an easy game to start with someone next to you, and there is a bot to practise against when you are on your own. No account, no download and no setup are required.

Tips and strategy
- Stay out of corners. A corner removes half your escape routes. Running along the middle of the arena keeps both directions open.
- Do not run in straight lines. Predictable movement is the easiest thing to intercept. Small direction changes cost you almost no speed and ruin the chaser's angle.
- Cut the angle when chasing. Following directly behind someone never closes the gap. Aim at where they are going instead of where they are.
- Use the swap. Right after a tag your opponent has to change direction and mindset. That first moment is when they are most vulnerable.
- Watch the clock. Late in a round it is worth taking a risk you would avoid early, because time about to run out is time you cannot use.
